oday, we study Mark 2:13-17, where Jesus calls Levi, a tax collector, to follow Him and then dines with sinners and tax collectors. This act shocked the religious leaders, who questioned why Jesus would associate with such people.

Jesus responded, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners” (Mark 2:17). This powerful statement underscores Jesus’ mission to reach the marginalized and break down social barriers.

Key Themes:

  • Inclusivity: Jesus’ message and love extend to everyone, regardless of social status.
  • Mission: Jesus’ mission to call sinners to repentance and transformation.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How can you follow Jesus’ example of inclusivity and reach out to those marginalized in society?
  2. What social barriers can you break down to show the love of Christ to others?

Tomorrow, we will explore Jesus’ teachings on the Sabbath and its true purpose.

Bless you,
